Office mail
Office letters are uploaded as PDF under Office mail and read on the server. Office, application number, date of the communication, kind and time limit are recognised and matched to the filing; for DPMA letters the page points out that periods run from delivery. After a check the letter becomes an office action with the PDF attached, and its deadline goes into the docket.
Official fees
Fee tables for DPMA patents and utility models, the EPO, the unitary patent and the USPTO give the fee of every renewal deadline, a forecast of the coming years per file and a calculator for new filings. A weekly comparison reads the offices' current figures and shows differences, which an administrator takes over with one click.
Letters
Templates for deadline notices, forwarded office actions, status reports and renewal instructions exist in German, English and French and can be edited or extended. Placeholders are filled from the file; the text is edited, then a Word letter with the firm's logo is written and kept.
